1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. They are used to remember preferences, keep sessions open or gather statistical information about browsing. The same legal framework covers other equivalent techniques for storing and accessing information on a device, such as local storage, session storage or tracking pixels.

2. Cookies used by this website: none

This website is statically generated: its pages consist of prerendered HTML, one style sheet, one typeface, our own JavaScript files and the app's images, all of them served from our own domain (liftotta.com). No resource is loaded from third-party servers.

We do not set any cookies, whether first-party or third-party, and we do not use local storage, session storage, device fingerprints (fingerprinting), tracking pixels or web analytics tools (there is no Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Meta Pixel or anything similar). We do not embed videos, maps, external fonts or social media buttons, so no third party receives a request from your browser when you visit these pages.

As a result, we do not need to ask for your consent to the use of cookies and you will not see any banner. We do not build profiles either, and we do not know who visits the site. The language in which you see the website is determined by the page address, without storing anything in your browser.

3. Technical server logs

The site is hosted with a hosting provider (Vercel) which, like any web server, may automatically log technical connection data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) for the sole purpose of serving the pages, maintaining security and producing aggregate infrastructure statistics. These logs are not cookies, are not used for advertising purposes and do not allow us to identify you personally.

4. The mobile app is a different matter

This policy applies to the website only. The “Liftotta” mobile application does show advertising through Google AdMob. On a phone, browser cookies are not used; instead, the device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android) and other technical data are used.

Before loading any ad, the app asks for your consent through Google's form (User Messaging Platform) in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland and, on iOS, also through Apple's tracking prompt (App Tracking Transparency). You can withdraw that consent at any time from the app's settings or the system settings. The “No ads” purchase completely disables ad loading.

5. How to control cookies in your browser

Even though there are none here, you can always review, block or delete the cookies of any site from your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge and the like, in their privacy section).

6. Changes to this policy

If this site were ever to add a cookie or a measurement tool, we would update this page with the details of each one and enable the corresponding consent mechanism before setting it.
